Christ In Majesty dominates the north apse and the Great Upper Church at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC. At 3,610 square feet, it is quite possibly the largest mosaic of Jesus in the world. The mosaic is made of Venetian tinted glass and has 3,000 - 4,000 total shades of color.
